Magelungen Development is an employee-owned company that offers qualified treatment and change work for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Magelungen conducts treatment as well as resource schools at primary and secondary school levels. The goal is to create a context in the operations that is manageable, meaningful, and comprehensible. About us

Magelungen's resource school in Södertälje caters to students who are in extensive need of special support and who require a smaller context to benefit from teaching. The educational environment is thoughtfully designed and adapted based on the students' needs. The groups are small, the teacher density is high, and student health is reinforced to give students the opportunity to develop in their studies and feel successful. The school's staff is committed and has experience working with students who, for various reasons, do not thrive in their previous home schools. We have a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working with the whole and building on what works. Our goal is to offer a context where all students can have a chance to succeed based on their conditions.

About the position

As a teacher at Magelungen, you actively work in the school environment alongside your teaching assignment, responsible for instruction, coaching, and mentorship. The focus is on strengthening, affirming, and supporting students both in teaching and outside the classroom. You work in close collaboration and cooperation with school management, other educators, student health, and treatment coordinators (social workers and behavioral scientists) by starting from the students' competencies, strengths, and resources and utilizing these to practice what is difficult. The position involves teaching in all groups from grades 4-9.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher for primary school with qualifications in English, Home Economics, and/or Physical Education for grades 4-9. Additional qualifications in more subjects are advantageous. You have previous experience working within primary school, and it is meritorious if you have special education training. It is important that you are flexible and want to be part of a context where collaboration with your colleagues is a central part of the assignment. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You find it motivating to work with school development, special educational issues, new research, and are not afraid to think outside the box. The school is aimed solely at students with extensive needs for special support, and therefore we prefer candidates with experience working with this student category. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Employment form

The position is a permanent employment of 60% to 100% depending on subject qualifications, starting in August. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

A criminal record extract (suspicion and crime) will be requested - form.
